TOBi on his latest single: “’Before We Panic’ is a cautionary tale. It’s about the fragmenting of society and the constant need to divide ourselves as humans even though we are all inhabit the same planet each day. In a world with an excess of information and misinformation, where does the objective truth lie? How can we come together and agree on what our foundational truths are? I want to challenge how we look at ourselves within the broader framework of society. Rather than look at each other as ‘us’ & ‘them,’ what if we were all a part of the same cohort? ‘The Living.’ It’s easy to say ‘I’m right, you’re wrong’ but what if we’re both wrong? What if the truth lies somewhere in the middle?”
Recently, TOBi released the single “That’s Alright” produced by Grammy nominated Sammy SoSo (Wizkid, Omah Lay) – click here to listen. A blend of afrobeat sounds with an upbeat tempo alongside TOBi’s smooth vocals and brassy saxophone delivers a perfect track to vibe to this summer. TOBi also released the “Too Hot (Maxi Single)” bundle this year with !llmind, which had features from Adekunle Gold and Rexx Life Raj. The Juno-award winner is currently wrapping up the finishing touches on his next album.
