“…Freddie isn’t going anywhere, and why would he when his latest single “Wrath” is as remarkable as ever.” ~ Lyrical Lemonade
“…off the wall and enigmatic…” ~ EARMILK
“Explosive, distorted and ferocious…” ~ RESPECT Magazine
“As usual, the instrumental that he selected for this record hits as hard as I could ever have anticipated, and the eerie, robotic-sounding high-pitched synth is the main element that piqued my attention from the jump.” ~ Lyrical Lemonade
(February 22, 2023) – With the original hit single ‘Limbo,’ now having reached over 110 million in streams on Spotify alone, the trend-setting Ontario-based rapper, Freddie Dredd unveils the deluxe version of his 2022 Top 10 Global Spotify Albums chart debut, Freddie’s Inferno Deluxe – available everywhere via RCA Records here :: https://freddiedredd.lnk.to/deluxe
The 23-track self-produced deluxe body of work follows his metaphorical journey through hell, including his escape at the end, along with all the fun he has once he is out. An antithesis to Pink Lotus, it exemplifies Freddie as a pioneer of an emboldened bass-heavy confident strain of hip-hop. Having pulled in the ears of some of hip-hop’s more critical listeners, Freddie has become the unlikely face of the internet-savvy underground.
Boasting an additional nine unreleased tracks, including sped-up and ghost-slowed versions of the viral hit ‘Limbo,’ a track that continues to position the Ontario native as the leader in the very subgenres he’s made visible, including phonk. The deluxe brings even greater reverence to the original’s bold and assertive singles, including ‘Greed,’ in addition to the lyrically nimble collaborations, ‘Kick Rocks’ featuring Lil Darkie and ‘Want,’ featuring prodby668. But the album’s new tracks, including ‘Kill Everybody’ and ‘Murder Musik’ bring even more of Freddie’s beloved dark, twisted humor and lyricism to life. There’s even a special link-up called ‘Five Nights’ with the critically-lauded rapper, Danny Brown.
“This continues to be one of my best bodies of production and writing, in my opinion.” Freddie shared on the Deluxe whose predecessor has already amassed over 200 million streams.
“It remains one of the darkest albums of mine, a sort of opus. I’ll say, it’s a sort of soundtrack for life when it stops making it sense.”
The YouTube ‘Artist on the Rise,’ has cultivated a massive following with his abrasive demeanor, inventive beats, and unique visual sensibility. Freddie clawed his way out of the digital trenches, gaining millions of streams on SoundCloud and gaining followers in mass on social media, along the way. Now on a 20-city tour powered by Rolling Loud, he’s making waves globally with his unique productions and vicious bars. Already pushing boundaries and defying genres with his new music, Freddie is marking his own place not just in hip-hop, but music overall.

About Freddie Dredd:
Freddie Dredd Gaining initial notoriety as a member of the Doomshop/Sixtetcollective of underground artists, Freddie Dredd’s success sparked in 2019, fueled by his popularity on TikTok, whose users were drawn to his vibey combination of ethereal samples and hard-hitting production. His single “Cha Cha,“ struck gold, racking up over 50 million streams on Spotify alone. Freddie trended on TikTok again that year with his bossa nova-sampling single “Opaul.”
It wasn’t long before the slick-tongued and grainy-toned Canadian-born rapper and producer, Freddie Dredd, proved his music would have a global reach. Based in Oshawa, Ontario. Freddie has carved out his own lane in music, blending gritty, lo-fi sounds, vintage samples, and intense—often dark—lyrics to craft a world of his own, he lures his listeners in on. His unique sound offers deep traces of phonk, echoing his love for southern hip-hop, and even alternatively illuminating the impact metal bands have had on him, from Korn to Meshuggah. In 2020 he released his debut EP with RCA Records, the critically lauded Suffer with his ongoing production partner Ryan C. Bold and daring, Freddie’s music takes inspiration from the horrorcore and dark trap of ’90s Memphis, TN; something he discovered by accident during his teenage years,
Evolving his persona even further, in 2022 he released his debut album with RCA Records, Freddie’s Inferno. A bold macabre of lyrical bends, with a predilection for distortion, the project spawned the runaway hit “Limbo.” Now with over 100 million streams on Spotify alone, the boosted ground-shaking, bass-heavy track found its way even into the zeitgeist of online gaming with Call of Duty via fan-made videos, further catapulting the track’s consumption. Flashing a dark sense of humor in his viscerally over-the-top lyrics, the young rapper leverages extreme imagery, damning metaphors and creative threats to embolden his rap persona, that often finds itself a split between Hannibal Lecter and the Lucifer himself. The album debuted in the Top 10 of the Spotify Global Charts, and as 2022 wrapped, Freddie celebrated surpassing over 1 billion streams as an artist, collectively.Freddie invites us now to revisit his inferno, with the release of Freddie’s Inferno Deluxe out now.
