[New York, NY – June 21, 2023] Today, Grammy-nominated artists and cousins Young Nudy and 21 Savage share a new music video for their hit “Peaches and Eggplants.” The viral hit is fresh off of Young Nudy’s most recent album, Gumbo, released via PDE Records/RCA Records. After sharing an open call on Instagram, the Atlanta titans linked up in a local park with a massive group of fans and dancers, showing that wherever this club hit rings off the party will follow. The song has been taking off as of late and is currently on a 9 week streak of growth. Just this week, the song landed at #1 on the US Hot 50 charts on TikTok and is currently at #74 on the Billboard Hot 100, so far amassing 58M streams across platforms and 1.7B short form video views. Just last week Nudy and 21 linked up again on the new album MadMan from PDE’s own BabyDrill on “Slight Dub” as well.
The success of “Peaches & Eggplants” arrives right off the back of what has been considered by many to be Young Nudy’s most compelling project to date, Gumbo, which raked in raving reviews from Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, Stereogum, XXL Magazine amongst others. With features from21 Savage and Key Glock, the 13-track project has song titles stick with the album title food theme with names such as “Pot Roast,” “McChicken,” “Fish & Chips” amongst others. Producers on the latest release include Pierre Bourne, Coupe, Kid Hazel, 44wxrld, Naestro, Cicero & Travis March. The “Peaches & Eggplants” video also follows Nudy’s second sold out tour in a row with his Gumbo tour following the Dr. EV4L vs. RICH SHOOTER Tour in 2021. Next week, Nudy returns to Los Angeles for a show at the Novo Theatre as well.
Previously, Young Nudy released his mixtape EA Monster in August 2022, which had the highlight track “Duntsane” with BabyDrill – listen to the project HERE. Prior to EA Monster, Nudy released two massive full-length LPs, DR. EV4L and RICH SHOOTER.
