(Los Angeles, CA – September 15th, 2023) – Today, rising singer/songwriter Paravi releases her debut original EP PARAVI via RCA Records. Anchored by Paravi’s soulful vocals and unfiltered lyricism, the EP features previously released tracks, “GOLDEN CHILD,” which Billboard called “captivating,” the powerful pop anthem “ANGRY,” the piano-driven ballad “BROKEN ENGLISH,” and her most recent offering the emotive “SKELETON.” The EP includes two new tracks including “REVENGE BODY,” and “STARGIRL.” Listen HERE.
Paravi shares, “This project is 2 years in the making and I couldn’t be prouder of all the bruises and bumps that came with creating it. PARAVI is my reintroduction as an original and singular artist rather than the cover singer the world knows me to be. Every song on this track list speaks to a different part of me and packaging it as a self-titled project just made sense as a crash course into who I am as a songwriter and performer. Seeing an Indian name front and center as the title will not only teach people how to pronounce my name, but is the first step in a very long, passionate journey of supporting diversity and representation in the arts. One of the songs off the EP “SKELETON” has a lyric that says, “I’m hearing a sacred sound calling out my name”, meant to reference my ancestors, past lives, and the universe speaking to me in every move I make. This is me calling back to them. My name as the title of this project makes their name the title of this project because I am made of them. I can only hope these 6 songs make them proud.”
Earlier this year, Paravi was featured in People’s 2023 spring “Emerging Artists” column, she sold-out her headline show at Moroccan Lounge in Los Angeles and most recently, she performed at Head In The Clouds festival in New York. Deemed a “…musical force to be reckoned with” by NYLON, Paravi continues to carefully craft a style of her own, alternating between moments of vivid vulnerability and vocal vitality above organically warm production.

Indian American rising singer/songwriter and artist Paravi has built an audience of over 3.8M followers and has amassed over 51.2M worldwide streams to date. From a young age, Paravi has always gravitated towards art and performance studying Indian theater and undergoing training in classical Indian dance and singing through high school. Now a graduate in Musical Theater at UCLA, Paravi turned to social media during the 2020 lockdown. Posting covers of BØRNS’ “Electric Love” and Frank Ocean’s “Godspeed,” she quickly started to gain traction. Maintaining this momentum, Paravi forged a connection with a growing fan base in our most disconnected time. 2022 was a banner year for Paravi as she went on to release her first original song, “GOLDEN CHILD,” which Billboard called “captivating,” followed by the powerful pop anthem “ANGRY.” She was featured on the GRAMMY-nominated Original Motion Picture Soundtrack for Baz Luhrmann’s blockbuster film ELVIS for her rendition of the iconic “Suspicious Minds.” In the fall, Paravi played a run of show dates supporting NIKI on her North American Tour which included a sold-out show at The Wiltern in Los Angeles. Paravi’s latest offerings include the beautiful, piano-driven ballad “BROKEN ENGLISH,” and the emotive “SKELETON.” Her debut original EP PARAVI is out now.
