When asked about her debut album Tems states: “Born In The Wild is a story of transformation, from a cocoon to a butterfly. It speaks on surviving mental wilderness and coming to a place where one can thrive. It’s about finally accepting oneself and embodying the woman I was born to be. It shows the different dimensions of who I am, from a cub to a lioness.”

Tems is set to embark on her first ever headlining world tour this summer, the BORN IN THE WILD WORLD TOUR. The global outing kicks off on Wednesday, June 12th in London at Eventim Apollo, with stops across Europe and North America before heading to Africa and wrapping up in Australia at The Hordern Pavilion in Sydney on November 15. Earlier this week Tems captivated audiences with her Tiny Desk performance where she debuted two new tracks from the album, “Unfortunate”and “Forever.” Tems also made a special musical guest appearance on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon earlier this month, where she performed an angelic medley of her latest single “Love Me JeJe” and live debut of “Born In The Wild” – check out the performance HERE!
Last month, Tems released “Love Me JeJe,” the lead single from the album which garnered over 5.8 million streams worldwide since its release. Shealso released the self-directed, official music video for “Love Me JeJe,” which pays homage to her childhood and upbringing in Lagos, Nigeria. The stunning visual embodies the infectious, feel-good energy of her home and is a dance worthy summer anthem. The video also features Seyi Sodimu, who inspired the single as it features an interpolation of his Nigerian classic of the same name released in 1997 – watch the video HERE.
