With over 1 billion streams to date across platforms and following on the heels of LaRosa’s recent single “Pretty Boy,” the track is a signature dark whimsical LaRosa tune featuring steady guitar riffs that add an alt-rock edge to her carefully crafted unique sound, which has earned her a diehard global fanbase.
“Muse” has become a fan anthem across LaRosa’s headlining Heaven Doesn’t Wait Tour, after the singer-songwriter previously teased the song on socials earlier this year. About Isabel LaRosa:
Born in Annapolis, MD, Isabel’s upbringing surrounded her with music. Her dad would take her to mic nights and jazz clubs growing up where he played the saxophone, and her brother played guitar. Inspired by the musical influences around her, she began songwriting with her brother in elementary school and from there, the creative duo was formed. Fast forward to present day, Isabel still writes and produces music with her brother (and producer) Thomas and while doing so finished high school online by getting her GED. Isabel’s sound mixes different styles of pop music; from bedroom electric-pop to hyper-pop to indie pop and more. The imagery for her visuals is inspired by thriller and horror movies/shows such as Stranger Things and Get Out. Isabel, alongside her brother, use their creativity and collaborative ideas create a mysterious, electro vibe-y pop sonic universe that listeners never want to leave.
In June 2022, LaRosa announced her deal with Slumbo Labs/RCA Records and released her debut EP, i’m watching you. Following the EP, she released her infectious hit single “i’m yours” and it led to the discovery of her full catalog. Breakout influencers like Nessa Barrett, Huddy, Emma Norton, and Kayla Nicole have used the sound from “i’m yours” on their pages. A five second clip of “i’m yours” on TikTok has been used in over 246K videos, with over 400 million views across all social platforms. In March 2023, Isabel released her second EP, YOU FEAR THE GOD THAT LOVES YOU, followed by dropping her single “older.” In 2024, Isabel released her singles “favorite” and most recently, “Pretty Boy.” “favorite” has become another breakout hit single for LaRosa, with over 6M creates and more than 43.5K average creations daily on TikTok, in addition to being her first song at radio and being currently top 25 at Pop Radio. Written and directed by LaRosa and starring actor/musician Ethan Cutkosky (Shameless), the “favorite” video showcases her ability to turn coming-of-age stories into addictive hits and mesmerizing visuals that are often inspired by sci-fi, thriller, and horror movies and television shows, which provide the backdrop for her sonic universe. To date, LaRosa has over one billion streams across audio platforms with over 16 million monthly listeners on Spotify alone and is also named one of Spotify’s Pop Rising Artists to Watch in 2024. Isabel has also been featured on flagship Spotify playlists like Today’s Top Hits, Pop Sauce, Pop Rising and Fresh Dance Pop.
