Meet Jamie Abzug, SVP / Head of Publicity
What was the first record you fell in love with?
Beach Boys – Pet Sounds – it was one of my parents favorites and I have so many good memories of listening to it with my family growing up.
What is the most important thing about your work at RCA?
I love being able to help artists share their work and their vision with the world. It’s incredibly exciting to meet a brand new artist and work in tandem with the team to bring their ideas to life and help them grow.
What was a critical moment in music history for you?
Growing up as the MTV generation, I have to say the TRL era was certainly a defining moment in my personal musical history journey and helped shape the way so many of today’s artists view media, fan interaction and content creation.
Name a record that has had a significant impact on you.
No record brings me more joy when I hear it playing anywhere than Robyn’s “Dancing On My Own” – it is an instant mood booster for me and some of my most fun memories are soundtracked to it.
What live performance will you never forget?
Pretty much any Foo Fighters show – always an incredible experience.
