Meet Melanie Kassis, Associate Director, Tour Marketing & Events
What was the first record you fell in love with?
American Idiot by Green Day. I was 13 when it came out and it just rocked my world. I loved how every song transitioned into the next and it told this insane story. I’d never heard an album like that before, and I became totally obsessed.
What is the most important thing about your work at RCA?
My job is the land of ticketing, so I need to stay proactive, super organized and be extra communicative with everyone internally, but also with external folks like promoters, managers, agents etc.
What was a critical moment in music history for you?
I think the most important part of music history is the late 80’s/early 90’s when rap and hip-hop took over and became mainstream. It changed pop music forever and brought us where we are today!
Name a record that has had a significant impact on you.
I think the live version of Death By A Thousand Cuts by Taylor Swift literally changed my life
What live performance will you never forget?
BEYCHELLA
