NEW ALBUM DAROLD OUT NOVEMBER 8
Friday, October 18, 2024 (NEW YORK, NY) – Following the release of his single “Allure” feat. Future and Mike WiLL Made-It earlier this month, multi-hyphenate hip-hop artist FERG keeps the heat coming with “Thought I Was Dead.”
Out now via RCA Records, “Thought I Was Dead” opens to a triumphant symphony of horns across before kicking into a pulsing trap beat. The visual, directed by FERG and Sage English, cuts between the rapper adorned in white angel wings and high-octane imagery as he bikes through Harlem. Intercut with visuals of his family and community, “Thought I Was Dead” is a declaration of FERG’s return.
The single is the latest release from FERG’s anticipated new album, DAROLD, which will be released on Friday, November 8. Marking his first project since 2020’s Floor Seats II, DAROLD will serve as an intimate portrait of FERG through his life, examining past, present and future.
About FERG
A founding member of Harlem’s A$AP Mob, FERG was initially the group’s main clothing designer, but after teaming with Mob member A$AP Rocky, he became one of the crew’s breakout rappers. FERG channeled his uniqueness into success, hitting the Top Ten charts with proper studio albums Trap Lord and Always Strive and Prosper. Then in 2020 his single off of Floor Seats II, “Move Ya Hips,” hit the top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100.
But what defines FERG is his eclectic and artistic spirit. Outside of music, he can be seen acting in shows such as The Godfather of Harlem and HBO’s The Hype, on top of executive producing multiple documentaries. Due to his passion for fashion, he became one of the first male hip-hop artists to work with a luxury jeweler and has seen success in partnerships across the board. FERG is a truly unique and multifaceted artist that spans from art, film, and fashion, to sports, philanthropy, and food. With big plans for 2024, you will be seeing much more of FERG.
