HOW TO BE HUMAN OUT JUNE 28
SUPPORTING DATES WITH ORVILLE PECK ON TOUR
KICK OFF NEXT WEEK
LOS ANGELES, CA (May 24, 2024) – Today, singer-songwriter on the rise Debbii Dawson releases her latest single, “Turn The TV On,” out now via RCA Records. Listen HERE.
A guitar-driven ballad of cinematic scale and flourish, “Turn The TV On” puts Debbii’s unique and ‘70s-laced vocals on full display as she sings about seeking solace in the glow of the television screen when reality becomes too difficult to face.
“The true meaning of this song lies in what is unsaid,” says Debbii of the release. “Wishing that I could turn the world off but instead finding an escape in turning my tv on, never leaving home, and the numbing mundaneness of an uneventful life.”
“Turn The TV On” is the latest single from her upcoming EP, How To Be Human, set for release on Friday, June 28. Pre-save it HERE. She previously teased the project with the track “Happy World,” called “transcendent” by Ones To Watch, praising Dawson for “channeling music of the past and applying it to her own modern perspective,” while Billboard highlighted the song as one of their ‘Cool New Pop Songs’ of the week.

About Debbii Dawson
Debbii Dawson has captivated audiences through her unassuming demeanor and soft voice, setting the stage for her exceptional vocal ability and musicality that pushes boundaries. A first-generation American raised in the rural Midwest, her musical legacy is rooted in her family history. Her grandfather in India taught himself to play the organ by drawing a keyboard on the ground with charcoal and passed that skill set to Debbii’s father, who then taught her. She grew up traveling with her parents as they toured the United States and internationally as performers.
Through her artistic journey, she has created a playful, imaginative world of her own making, crafting a fusion of pop, folk, and country mixed with influences of iconic artists of the past, along with traces of her familial heritage, all woven together to form a rich musical tapestry that defies convention and is uniquely her own. Debbii released her debut EP, Learning, in 2023 and continues to leave her mark through the records she creates. A fresh and exciting new voice with new music set for release this year, Debbii continues to expand her world and invites audiences to join her along the way.
