LOS ANGELES, CA (February 21, 2025) – Today, rising singer-songwriter Debbii Dawson returns with her first release of 2025, “You Killed The Music,” out now via RCA Records. Listen HERE.
“You Killed The Music” is a bright and shimmering single with electrifying synths alongside cinematic, anthemic electro pop-influenced production. Accompanying the single is a VHS-inspired music video, which made its broadcast premiere on MTV Live, MTVU and MTV Biggest Pop. Directed by Jennifer Juniper Stratford, the video pays homage to the nostalgia of global, old school disco visuals, featuring Debbii as she dances in a sequined dress and silver metallic go-go boots.
The release of “You Killed The Music” comes ahead of Debbii’s forthcoming tour dates with Role Model, who she will be supporting on the North American leg of his ‘No Place Like Tour’ run. Kicking off on February 24 in Phoenix and culminating on April 10 in Seattle, with stops in Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, Brooklyn, and more. Full tour dates are listed below.
Signing to RCA Records last year, Debbii has established herself as a talent to watch through her captivating voice and playful presence. Last June, she released her sophomore effort, How To Be Human, featuring the singles “Happy World” and “Turn The TV On.” The five-track project served as a navigation through the singer’s psyche, breaking past her own comfort zones as she delved into the feelings of solitude, self-isolation and escapism. In addition to touring with Orville Peck and Suki Waterhouse, she closed the year with a pair of retro pop singles, “Walla Walla” and “The Great Magician.”

About Debbii Dawson
Debbii Dawson has captivated audiences through her unassuming demeanor and soft voice, setting the stage for her exceptional vocal ability and musicality that pushes boundaries. A first-generation American raised in the rural Midwest, her musical legacy is rooted in her family history. Her grandfather in India taught himself to play the organ by drawing a keyboard on the ground with charcoal and passed that skill set to Debbii’s father, who then taught her. She grew up traveling with her parents as they toured the United States and internationally as performers.
Through her artistic journey, she has created a playful, imaginative world of her own making, crafting a fusion of modern pop with timeless influences of decades past. After releasing her debut EP in 2023 followed by her sophomore effort in 2024, Debbii continues to leave her mark through the records she creates. A fresh and exciting new voice with more music set throughout the coming months, Debbii continues to expand and solidify her intriguing world and invites audiences to join her along the way.
