(September 8, 2023) Today, Grammy-nominated artist Young Nudy releases an official remix for his hit song “Peaches and Eggplants” featuring Grammy-nominated rapper Latto and breakout star Sexxy Red.The original song, which features his cousin 21 Savage, from Young Nudy’s latest album Gumbo has been going viral this summer and flying up the charts. After landing at #1 on the US Hot 50 charts on TikTok in July, the song saw another Billboard Hot 100 peak at #49 recently and has currently amassed 132M streams across platforms and 3.1B short form video views. The song was originally teased by Latto and Sexxy on socials earlier this week, driving fans crazy waiting for the official drop today. Yesterday, Young Nudy also shared his new music video for another Gumbo fan favorite “Okra” as well.
The official remix “Peaches & Eggplants” arrives right off the back of what has been considered by many to be Young Nudy’s most compelling project to date, Gumbo, which raked in raving reviews from Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, Stereogum, XXL Magazine amongst others. With features from21 Savage and Key Glock, the 13-track project has song titles stick with the album title food theme with names such as “Pot Roast,” “McChicken,” “Fish & Chips” amongst others. Producers on the latest release include Pierre Bourne, Coupe, Kid Hazel, 44wxrld, Naestro, Cicero & Travis March. The “Peaches & Eggplants” video also follows Nudy’s second sold out tour in a row with his Gumbo tour following the Dr. EV4L vs. RICH SHOOTER Tour in 2021. Next week, Nudy returns to Los Angeles for a show at the Novo Theatre as well.
Just this July, Nudy and 21 linked up again on the new album MadMan from PDE’s own BabyDrill on “Slight Dub” as well. Previously, Young Nudy released his mixtape EA Monster in August 2022, which had the highlight track “Duntsane” with BabyDrill – listen to the project HERE. Prior to EA Monster, Nudy released two massive full-length LPs, DR. EV4L and RICH SHOOTER. On top of the music, Young Nudy has released various visuals for his singles over the years including “Impala,” “Project X,” “Child’s Play” featuring 21 Savage, “Green Bean,” “2Face” featuring G Herbo, “DR.
