(October 21, 2022) – Today, Joseph Lawrence introduces himself with his stirring new song “Tomorrow,” out now via Sony Music UK/RCA Records. This single is an exciting new release that marks a powerful beginning for one of the UK’s most talented up-and-coming vocalists.
Listen to “Tomorrow”
Lawrence possesses one of those rare voices that shifts between intimacy and grandeur in the blink of an eye. On “Tomorrow,” he uses this ability to maximum effect. He begins the song plaintively singing about a life gone amiss, attending faceless city bars where the patrons “only drink champagne.” It is moments like these that lead to a loss of self, finding Lawrence hoping for a new beginning the next morning. It is a universal story but one that Lawrence tells in his own unique way. His soaring vocal delivery adds a new twist to the tale: its sheer power leaves the listener with no other choice but to stop and listen.
He is set to play live at St Pancras Old Church in London on October 24, an evening that promises to be one of the first glimpses into the world he has been creating.
About Joseph Lawrence
Joseph Lawrence is blessed with a once-in-a-generation vocal – one that, in the space of a year, has landed him a partnership with RCA Records and a half a million-strong online following. The artist began his career after moving from Ipswich to London, turning heads in the city’s jazz scene and honing his craft at the legendary jazz club Ronnie Scott’s – building a network of remarkable players in the process. From here Joseph began playing in bands, and slowly shaping his own music in the background before working on new music in collaboration with Fryars (Mark Ronson, Pharrell) and Dave Okumu (Jessie Ware, Lianne La Havas).
