LOS ANGELES, CA (June 28, 2023) – Today, electronic music group MILKBLOOD return with their new single, “RUN THRU ME,” out now via RCA Records.
The single features slow, seductive production with melodic vocals and is accompanied by a mind-bending music video featuring the group’s signature front-creature, Case Y, who can be seen throughout all their visuals, as he dances in an abandoned strip club.
Crafted by musicians David “Kill Dave” Dahlquist and Pat Morrissey, alongside musical collaborator and visual artist Mike Diva, MILKBLOOD is a pioneering multimedia project. Having previously spent their time writing and producing for SZA, Hayley Kiyoko, Weezer, Tom Morello, SAINt JHN, and Jess Glynne, the MILKBLOOD concept was created during Covid-19 quarantine in 2020. Self-isolation gave them the opportunity to dream and manifest with contemporaries like Dave’s brother Mike Diva, who has directed music videos for artists including Lil Nas X and Run the Jewels, in addition to collaborating with The Lonely Island and Saturday Night Live. Tapping avant-garde horror artist Trevor Henderson, they pooled their considerable skills in music, film, and art to create the MILKBLOOD mythos and the world of its lead alien Case Y, crafting an utterly unique universe for their music to live within.
In 2022, MILKBLOOD released their latest EP, DREAM SLOW, which featured the hit single “NO MIND,” which served as the end credits theme on the Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg-led blockbuster Uncharted, as well as their breakout “DISCO CLOSURE,” featured on the FIFA 2023 official soundtrack. The DREAM SLOW EP also featured collaborations from PVRIS and Bipolar Sunshine.
