(Los Angeles, CA – August 11th, 2023) – Today, rising singer/songwriter Paravi releases her new single “SKELETON” via RCA Records. It was created alongside Ferras (Katy Perry, Dua Lipa) and Khushi (James Blake). The emotive track is driven by its sonically lush production and explores the raw emotions of imposter syndrome and self-doubt, bursting with soulful melodies. Listen HERE.
Paravi shares, “This is a song about being the amalgamation of my parents, my chosen family, and my ancestors. For the first time in my life, I found myself questioning whether or not I’m good enough, talented enough, special enough to reach the levels of success and impact I’ve always dreamt of. I sat with myself and asked who the most powerful people in my life were, the most compassionate, kind, and hopeful. And the answers were my parents, my brother, my grandparents, and my relatives in India. My chosen family.
I realized it was the people whose blood runs in my veins. I am a part of them. I am literally part of my mother and father, my ancestors…our family tree connects more than just our last names, it connects us, who we are, and what defines us. I realized that if they can be strong, hopeful, and passionate, having to overcome the most immense parts of history, from the colonization of India to immigrating to the states…I can be, too. I am strong, hopeful, and passionate because it is in my blood and in my veins. They are all of those things, so I am all of those things. “My skeleton is a hand-me-down” from my ancestors, and that gives me strength to fight.”
Earlier this year, Paravi was featured in People’s 2023 spring “Emerging Artists” column, she sold-out her headline show at Moroccan Lounge in Los Angeles and most recently, she performed at Head In The Clouds festival in New York. Deemed a “…musical force to be reckoned with” by NYLON, Paravi continues to carefully craft a style of her own, alternating between moments of vivid vulnerability and vocal vitality above organically warm production.

Indian American rising singer/songwriter and artist Paravi has built an audience of over 3.8M followers and has amassed over 51.2M worldwide streams to date. From a young age, Paravi has always gravitated towards art and performance studying Indian theater and undergoing training in classical Indian dance and singing through high school. Now a graduate in Musical Theater at UCLA, Paravi turned to social media during the 2020 lockdown. Posting covers of BØRNS’ “Electric Love” and Frank Ocean’s “Godspeed,” she quickly started to gain traction. 2022 was a banner year for Paravi as she went on to release her first original song, “GOLDEN CHILD,” which Billboard called “captivating,” followed by the powerful pop anthem “ANGRY.” She was featured on the GRAMMY-nominated Original Motion Picture Soundtrack for Baz Luhrmann’s blockbuster film ELVIS for her rendition of the iconic “Suspicious Minds.” In the fall, Paravi played a run of show dates supporting NIKI on her North American Tour which included a sold-out show at The Wiltern in Los Angeles. Paravi’s latest offering, the beautiful, piano-driven ballad “BROKEN ENGLISH,” was released in January.
