LOS ANGELES (August 18, 2022) – Today, acclaimed singer-songwriter Sasha Alex Sloan releases the music video for her single “Thank You” off her critically praised sophomore album, I Blame The World, out now via RCA Records.
Directed by David Od (COIN, LANY, Amy Shark), the video flips the romantic sentiment of track on its head, with the visual instead paying homage to the love and support we get from our pets. Featuring at-home interviews with people and their dogs – including Sasha and her two dogs, Frida and Dory – the funny and heartwarming video serves as a ‘thank you’ to our furry friends who are always there for us.
On Wednesday, August 24, Sasha will also release a special Spotify Singles version of “Thank You,” as well as a cover of Harry Styles’ hit “As It Was.” Fans will be able to listen exclusively on Spotify and can check out past Spotify Singles here.
“Thank You” is the latest single off I Blame The World, the follow-up to her 2020 debut, Only Child. Crafted over the past two years, the eleven-track project is a culmination of the all-too-relatable feelings of angst and apathy mixed with Sasha’s signature razor-sharp wit and confessional songwriting style. Self-aware and poignant in its direction – which can be felt in tongue-in-cheek songs like “I Blame The World,” “Adult,” and the album’s lead single “WTF” – I Blame The World ushers in a bold new era of musicality from Sasha.
Sasha is currently on her I Blame The World North American Tour alongside Jessie Murph and Slimdan, and is set to tour Europe later this fall. For tickets and more information, visit here.
