The Song…Which Hints At Why They May Have All Those Kids…Is Out Now
Nashville, TN – Monument and RCA Records singer/songwriter Walker Hayes releases brand new track “5 to 9” out now.
Listen to “5 to 9” HERE
As a songwriter Hayes is never scared to dig into his real life, which often means he is singing about his kids, like fan favorite “Lela’s Stars,” what type of dad he wants to be like in Double Platinum Track “AA,” or his relationship with Jesus, as heard in ” Craig.”
With “5 to 9” we hear Hayes singing about his favorite topic in the world…his wife Laney. Laney has been the subject of discussion in many Hayes songs, like “Don’t Let Her,” “ Face In The Crowd,” or “ Life With You,” where he sings about their nearly two decade marriage and the ups and downs they have weathered along the way. Unlike those other songs, on “5 to 9” Walker gives fans a glimpse into another reason he loves Laney…and why they might have all those kids.
On the new track he sings:
FORGET THAT DOLLAR, GOING HOME TO A DIME
IN HER WALMART JEANS LOOKING LIKE A MILLION BUCKS
SHE’S THE ONLY LADDER THAT I WANNA CLIMB UP
FROM 5 TO 9, 5 TO 9
“5 to 9” is available everywhere today
