**TICKETS ON SALE FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 30 AT NOON ET**
New York, NY (September 23, 2022) – Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. (MSG Entertainment) and Live Nation announced today that Grammy Award winning and multi-Platinum selling artist Wizkid will perform at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, November 16 at 8:00PM – marking the Nigerian superstar’s first show at The World’s Most Famous Arena. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, September 30 at noon ET.
Earlier this month on September 13, Wizkid released a brand-new single “Bad To Me” via Starboy/Sony Music International/RCA Records. The sultry jam – his first solo single since the 2021 release of Made In Lagos: Deluxe Edition – “Bad To Me” was produced by Wizkid’s longtime producer P2J (whose credits also include Beyoncé, Doja Cat and Burna Boy), and received immediate praise from Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, The FADER and more.
Wizkid is one of Nigeria’s most-streamed artists, with over 4 billion global streams. Last month, Wizkid reached a momentous career milestone as his 2020 album ‘Made in Lagos’, with over a billion streams to its name, was awarded Gold Certification from the RIAA. Its 2021 follow up, ‘Made In Lagos: Deluxe Edition’, received a Grammy nomination for Best Global Music Album. The album’s Justin Bieber remixed lead single “Essence” (featuring Tems) is 2x Platinum and peaked at #9 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it the first Nigerian song to chart on both the Billboard Hot 100 and Global 200 charts. The superstar has also collaborated with some of the world’s top artists including Drake, Beyoncé, Chris Brown and H.E.R.
Chase cardholders will have advance access to tickets from Monday, September 26 at 10:00AM ET through Thursday, September 29 at 10:00PM ET via Ticketmaster.com. Tickets for the November 16 show will go on sale to the general public on Friday, September 30 at noon via Ticketmaster.com. Tickets will also be available in person beginning on Saturday, October 1 at the Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall and Beacon Theatre box offices.
